What are the connection methods of open synchronous belts?

The timing belt is an endless belt coated with polyurethane or neoprene rubber with a strong layer of steel wire rope or glass fiber. It integrates the advantages of belt transmission, chain transmission, and gear transmission. When driving, the transmission ratio is accurate, the force on the shaft is small, the structure is compact, and it is resistant to oil, abrasion and aging. It has been widely used in textiles, machine tools, tobacco, communication cables, light industry, chemical industry, metallurgy, instrumentation, food, mining, petroleum Various mechanical transmissions in industries such as, automobile, etc.
Synchronous belt connection method
1. Use polymer solvent glue.
2. The two sides of the synchronous belt can be connected with pairs of teeth; in general, only the open synchronous belt needs to be connected to the synchronous belt, but there are also cases where the synchronous belt is broken or worn.
3. Use pressure to heat the press, set a certain time, pressure, etc. to cool the belt temperature, and leave it for a period of time.
2. Precautions for installation of synchronous belt
1. When installing belts, if the center distance of the two belts can be moved, the center distance of the belts must be shortened first. After installing the belt, reset the center distance. If there is a tension pulley, first loosen the tension pulley, then install the belt, and then install the tension pulley.
2. When installing the belt on the pulley, remember not to use too much force, or use a screwdriver to pry the belt forcefully to prevent the tensile layer in the belt from breaking. When designing the pulley, it is best to choose a structure in which the two shafts can move closer to each other. If the structure does not allow, it is best to install the belt and pulley on the corresponding shaft together.
3. Control the proper initial tension.
4. When the synchronous belt is driven, the parallelism of the axes of the two pulleys is required, otherwise the synchronous belt will run off the track when working, or even jump out of the pulley. Non-parallel axes can also cause uneven pressure and cause premature wear of the teeth.
5. The supporting pulley frame must have sufficient rigidity, otherwise the two shafts will not be parallel when the pulley is locked by the code.
Three, common problems in the use of synchronous belts
1. The tooth of the synchronous belt is broken
2. Abnormal wear on the edge of the belt
3. The tooth edges in the synchronous belt are severely worn
4. Synchronous belt deviation
5. Longitudinal cracking of synchronous belt
Fourth, the solutions to common problems of synchronous belts
1. Do not twist the belt, install a wide belt or a large pulley, increase the diameter of the pulley or wide belt, remove foreign objects, and tighten it appropriately.
2. Install a belt with a larger width and larger transmission power, increase the belt size and pulley size, check the belt type, and replace the pulley if necessary.
3. Realign the shaft, replace the pulley flange, and reinforce the bearing or chassis.
4. Install the protective cover and check the cutting device and guiding device.
Conveyor belts and timing belts are durable consumer goods. Pay attention to maintenance during daily use. Reserve 1-2 replacements. Once the synchronization belt is found to be faulty or broken, it can be maintained and replaced in time to avoid affecting production and causing losses!
